Street Light Project Kicks Off on Elston

Street Light Project Kicks Off on Elston

On Tuesday, Oct. 7, crews expect to begin installing new ornamental street lights on Elston Avenue between Forest Glen Avenue and Central Avenue. The $1.5 million project is being funded through theĀ Elston-Armstrong TIF District, which covers the stretch.

This is a project I have been advocating since taking office. It should improve the look and feel of Elston as we have more retail and service businesses move into the stretch.

Work should be completed by Christmas, weather permitting. Parking will be restricted in the specific areas where crews will be working, but no lane closures should be needed.

Thank you for your patience as this work is completed.
