Milwaukee Resurfacing Project Starting

Milwaukee Resurfacing Project Starting

The Chicago Department of Transportation is beginning work on Milwaukee from the Kennedy Expressway to Elston. Right now, CDOT contractors are working on upgrading crosswalk concrete. They will also replace curbs where needed.

Street resurfacing is expected to start in several weeks. The resurfacing will require the closure of the Milwaukee viaduct under the UP Northwest railroad. Watch this space for more information as it becomes available.

Work is tentatively to be finished in mid-August, weather permitting.

Thanks for your patience as we work to repave this major thoroughfare.
