City Sticker Renewal

City Sticker Renewal

It is time to renew your Chicago vehicle sticker. You should be receiving your renewal form this week or early next week. If you do not receive it by Wednesday, May 28, please call the City Clerk’s sticker call center at (312) 744-6770. The center is open 8 am-5 pm Monday throughFriday.

This will be the last year where we all renew our city stickers at the same time. The City Clerk is transitioning to year-round sticker renewal. Once the transition is complete, your city sticker will expire six months after your state license plate registration.

Because of this staggering, you will need your vehicle identification number (VIN) when you renew your city sticker.

During the transition year, you will have the choice to either renew for partial year at a prorated rate, or renew for more than a year at a prorated rate. Please note that this change will not impact seniors who will remain on the June-to-June schedule.

Learn more about the program at the City Clerk’s website.

Also, I will host our 45th Ward Vehicle Sticker Renewal Day on Friday, June 27, from 11 am to 5 pm, at the Ward Office, 4754 N. Milwaukee.

You can also avoid the long lines by renewing on-line at the City Clerk’s website.
